During this unprecedented time of concerns about the coronavirus outbreak, Latinos Salud has chosen to continue serving the community, keeping our doors open with minimal changes to our schedule for all individual-level services.

To date, we have worked to protect staff and clients by
  • Suspending all on-site group meetings 
  • Disinfecting each office three times daily, 
  • Having clients complete a survey of potential exposure before entry, 
  • Limiting entry to two clients in the building at a time, and 
  • Having staff practice social distancing while at work.

Keeping our doors open during March proved worth the extra efforts required. We diagnosed and linked into care the second highest number of new clients in our agency’s history. 

As the epidemic deepens in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, today we are ramping up our protection protocols. We will continue to provide most of our services. However, through at least April 30th, Latinos Salud will now

  • Drop down to a skeleton crew on site each day, rotating out as many staff as possible to work from home.
  • Provide as many of our one-on-one services as possible remotely for ongoing clients.
  • Close each of our locations at 8:00 p.m. daily, to allow time for deeper disinfecting (the last client entry will be at 7:30 p.m. each day).
  • Provide a surgical mask to each client, and require the client to wear the mask before entering our building to receive any one-on-one service.
With these additional protections, some clients may not be able to walk in for immediate service as they normally would. Thanks in advance for your patience as we work together … for the health of the community!
